A MyShtetl blogger wrote to the publisher last week to say: “The Kollel booksale was so fun. I was like a kid in a candystore but wish I had an unlimited budget.”
She also posted a comment to a story reviewing some sale books: “It was fabulous, I only got 2 bags full, but they were heavy and really full. I got some really great books at ridiculously low prices. There are some fantastic books there but at some point my credit card would have burped so I had to contain myself just a little. I was surprised how much stock I found so many days into the sale.
Everything is one sale and they have a huge amount of stock. I think I might have to pop in on Sunday again. Maybe I'll buy two more bags full. READ THE FULL COMMENT

One of the books I bought
One of the books I bought was Off The Derech by Faranak Margolese. Its byline is Why Observant Jews Leave Judaism. I guess as a baalat teshuva this topic fascinates me, not simply because I'm trying to understand the drift away, but also because I want some clue what the warning signs might be in order to help me stay on course!
I'm hardly in to it, but there is just not enough time in the day. I don't want to put it down! The statistics and the insight are amazing, and I'm looking forward to reading about How To Respond To The Challenge (the second byline on the cover).
I'm surprised I never saw it before, but I'm kind of glad to have the 30% off too :)
Let's Go To Shul is fantastic. Even my teenage daughter was engrossed in it. It has such a fabulous way of showing what to do and what rules to follow. A few months ago I couldn't get both my children out of the store because they wanted to read it right there and then!
