‘Joburg – through my lens’ is in an A4 format, has no dust jacket to get tatty, has a laminated hard cover for durability and weighs in at 1.3kg.

The book is printed on quality 135gsm paper, has almost 200 pages and more than 200 photographs in both colour and monochrome.

The text, written in a most readable conversational style, is concise and covers the city from before the discovery of the Main Reef to the present day. It is a milestone publication and records Jozi as we know her before the major planned changes are put in place.

The book is factual, exceptionally well illustrated and contains no current politics, religion or racial issues, making it an excellent gift, either corporate or personal.

‘Joburg – through my lens’ has received numerous accolades, among them:

“A marvelous way to showcase our beautiful city” – Den Adams of the Parktown & Westcliff Heritage trust.

“Joburg.co.za has discovered a coffee table gem in the form of Joburg - through my lens by Brian Koping – Philippa Cross, Editor of Joburg’s e-newsletter.

“The book can be dipped into at liberty and each page will yield something that even a seasoned Joburger would not have known. The book would make a great gift for those who have never experienced Jozi in all its glory – or those who think they already know everything there is to know about the city” - Nicola Mawson – The Weekender.

And, possibly, the most salient quote of all:

“If we can get as many of these books as possible into circulation it cannot but have a positive effect on tourism to our city – a situation that will benefit all who live here” – Keith Brebnor, CEO of the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce.

‘Joburg – through my lens’ is available from the author at R299 per book inclusive of Vat, packaging and postage in RSA, or from selected Exclusive Book outlets in Gauteng. If yours doesn’t have it, ask them to order it for you.
