On Tuesday 11 May 2010 the KwaZulu-Natal Zionist Council (KNZC) will hold a "Mounts of Olives" - Israeli Wine and Olive evening in honour of Yom Yerushalayim at 18h30 at the Durban Jewish Centre.

KwaZulu-Natal Zionist Council

The function of the KwaZulu-Natal Zionist Council (KNZC) is to foster a love of Israel amongst the Durban Jewish community and to promote Zionist activities, with a particular focus on working with various youth movements.

Affiliated to the South African Zionist Federation, the KNZC co-ordinates informative functions and hosts visiting dignitaries and delegations from Israel; it also facilitates tours and programmes to Israel and aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel).

The KNZC is an autonomous body which works together with the CKNJ on mutual projects and causes which promote the reputation of Israel and the Jewish community. In acting as a general liaison between Israel and the local community, the KNZC aims to foster a spirit of shared understanding and goodwill.
