The Johannesburg Community will hand over ten Sifrei Torah to be distributed in Eretz Yisrael to new communities this Sunday, 25 July, at the Shul of Sandringham Gardens.

The programme will be as follows:

Mincha at 5pm

Greetings
- Chief Rabbi Dr Warren Goldstein
- Rabbi Moshe Kurtstag, Rosh Beth Din
- Rabbi Y Chayot, Rav of El Al

Maariv

Conclusion at 6pm

These Sifrei Torah are all pasul and considered irrepairable. The mosad that they are being sent to in Israel patches together useable parts of these Sifrei Torah and sends them on to new communities.
